Spiritual Development

We have a number of groups where members and newcomers can learn about their faith and be encouraged to grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

          FAMILY FUN DAYS
During the Autumn and Spring school holidays we have held fun mornings for primary school aged children and their parents and grandparents.  There are games, activities, stories and crafts which are enjoyed by all who come.  In 2001 we followed these with a Christmas family fun evening.  In more recent years we have held Advent Workshops for school-aged children.

          BIBLE STUDY GROUPS
Bible Study groups are led by lay people and either discuss a book in the Bible or a topical subject book from a biblical perspective. While having a cuppa there is ample time to get to know others. There are currently four Bible Study/discussion groups, two held in the daytime and two in the evening. We pray that more people will become involved in these.

          Alpha COURSE.
One of the Bible Study groups did this course and we are
now offering it more widely, at first to the other members of
the congregation and now to the wider community.  In 2003   we held our tenth Alpha course and in the second half of the year one of our study groups invited Alpha participants to the follow-up course, A Life Worth Living.
