For an avid sport fan like George whose dream has always been to represent his country, a visit to the Olympic Stadiums in Greece was exciting.

He ran a lap of both the original track at Olympia and at the 1895 Athens Stadium.

Many ancient sites had their stadiums, but most were not as big as that at Olympia

After you climb up and up past the temples and the theatre,
there at the very top of the hill  at Delphi is the stadium.

                                                                                                 souvenirs were sold.
