Pull up a chair and catch up on the news........

Retirement?  What's that?  We thought we retired six years ago.  But for the past couple of years, we haven't even had spare time to go away for some trips.

Early in the year we had the kitchen of our unit updated so now we have a dishwasher, better storage and more bench space, as well as a stove that WORKS!

George has been busy playing croquet, including trips to California, USA in 2002 to play in the invitational World Singles' and to New Zealand in 2003 to play in the 'official' World Croquet Association World Singles.

The Sonoma Tournament includes some great social and fund-raising events
He has also been coaching - State and National teams and development squads as well as individual players - ground-keeping and helping administer both in the State Association and at the national level.  That all keeps him off the streets!

Marion has gone back to part time study, deciding to embark on a Master of Divinity degree to further her knowledge of the Bible and theological things.  She is doing this through the Melbourne College of Divinity, which is the equivalent of University in this state which has legislated not to allow universities to have faculties of religion.  Lectures are at the United Faculty of Theology, one of the College's Teaching institutions.  It's challenging, time consuming, but very enjoyable.

Marion is also still involved at St. Philip's church where she has responsibility for the Christian Education ministry of the congregation.  As part of this role she has organised Alpha courses and a new home group.

It's not all work and no play! Marion also had fun when she became Baby Bear in 'Goldilocks' and the glamourous golden-haired Ugly Sister in 'Cinderella' at a neigbouring church.

Being grandparents is always important.  We've done our share of looking after the grandchildren, even though the eldest six are all now at school.  Marion spent a week at Colac and enjoyed having time with Angus.  In January 2004, we welcomed our newest Latham, Seth Ewan.

Angus was a proud big brother for Seth
